The Shift to Work on Climate
Born and raised in Ecuador, I grew up witnessing the struggles of marginalized communities and the complex realities of developing countries striving for sustainable growth. From indigenous communities protecting their lands to urban areas balancing economic expansion with environmental conservation, I saw how sustainability isn’t just a concept—it’s a necessity. This experience gave me a unique perspective on global inequalities and the urgent need for innovative, localized solutions that empower communities and drive systemic change.
Fresh out of university with a degree in Business Administration, I envisioned a career in strategy and development. However, an opportunity to join the Undersecretary of Climate Change at the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador completely changed my path. Seeing firsthand how environmental policies shaped entire industries and communities, I realized that my skills in business and strategy could serve a higher purpose—tackling global challenges like climate change and sustainability. That moment marked a pivotal shift in my career, setting me on a mission to drive sustainable transformation across sectors.
My Values & Commitment to Build a Better Future
Discipline, Leadership, & Respect
Beyond my professional path, my dedication to Ju-Jutsu played a significant role in shaping who I am today. Martial arts taught me discipline, resilience, and respect—values that became critical when leading multidisciplinary teams and taking on high-stakes responsibilities. Teaching self-defense wasn’t just about physical skills; it was about empowering others, a principle that extends into my work in sustainability—helping businesses, governments, and communities develop the tools and strategies they need to protect our planet.
Entrepreneurship & Innovation
Recognizing the power of innovation and emerging technologies to address sustainability challenges, I later transitioned into entrepreneurship. From developing blockchain-based carbon markets to designing crowdfunding platforms for sustainable projects, I have worked to integrate clean tech, digital solutions, and financial mechanisms to scale climate action.
Building a Community for a Sustainable Future
Every step in my journey—from policymaking and consulting to tech innovation and entrepreneurship—has led me here: building a community that shares knowledge, develops technologies, and promotes innovation for a better and more sustainable future. Through collaboration and cutting-edge solutions, I am committed to helping businesses, organizations, and individuals take real action toward sustainability.

Coauthored the technology roadmap for “R&D Opportunities for Renewables in Ecuador” by analyzing strategic sectors, conducting technology research, and evaluating energy security, emissions, and local capacity.
Participation in International Climate Negotiations and Sustainability Forums
As Ecuador’s designated National Delegate at the UN Climate Change Conferences (COP), I actively contributed to international climate negotiations, representing the country’s interests in key discussions on carbon markets, climate finance, technology transfer, and sustainable development. My participation helped shape global agreements and foster collaborations to drive climate action. Beyond negotiations, I have been invited as a speaker at multiple international forums on sustainability, carbon markets, and climate innovation. Through these engagements, I have shared insights on decarbonization strategies, emerging technologies, and policy frameworks to advance global sustainability goals.
